All True to Red, White & Blue       "NEW"

July 10 - 12,  2018

Day 1: Come along for a summer getaway !!!! Travel with meal and rest stops to Ohio.  Arrive at the Olde Main Street Museum for lunch and the performance "The Many Faces of Old Glory". Vance Scott III tells the story of how our flag came to be: hear the fascinating and often humorous stories.  Time to explore the  Museum, where an entire early 1900's town is inside this 1915 building, that formerly housed a Ford Dealership.  23 storefronts, old-time soda shop, town jail, fire department, and more.  Living historical characters populate the village. Depart for Dover, Ohio and visit the Auman Musuem of Radio & Television, take a walk down memory lane and visit the 1920's Radio shop featuring vintage radios & TV's.  Visit the Broadcasters Hall of Fame and learn what Don Knotts, Grandpa Jones, Bob Denver, and many others have in common. Our next stop will be the Famous Ending Museum. Tour the unique collection of documents from the deaths of Presidents, world leaders, artists, and more. Travel to our hotel for 2 Night's lodging. Dinner and performance located at the hotel, by the Victory Canteen Singers. Their repertoire includes all the treasured gems of the WWII era, plus patriotic classics including a
musical salute to each branch of the US Armed Forces.

Day 2: Following breakfast, depart with step-on guide for a visit to David Warther Carvings. See the masterpieces carved out of ivory and meet David as he personally conducts the tour through the carving exhibit. We then travel to Lehman's General Store. This is truly a unique shopping experience where the past, the present and the future all meet in one store, a place where old-fashioned is always in fashion. Lunch included at the Dutch Kitchen where you will make your own red, white & blue cream
stick for dessert. This afternoon, visit P. Graham Dunn which is nestled in beautiful Sonnenberg Valley and the heart of Amish Country. P. Graham Dunn not only creates and produces a wide selection of high quality wood décor and gifts, but also offers guests a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Learn about the business and watch workers through windows. Return to the hotel to refresh. Depart for dinner and shop included at the Amish Country Theater. Enjoy the "Stars and Stripes in the Country", with Liberty and Laughs for a new patriotic show. Fireworks are to follow the show.

Day 3: Following breakfast and hotel check-out depart for a visit to Heini's Cheese Chalet for shopping and tasting of over 70 varieties of natural cheese. Shop the Kauffman's Country Amish Bakery, where you can sample the Amish baked goods that are made on site. On average, the bakery makes 250 loaves of  bread daily. Stop at the Schrock's Heritage Village for browsing and shopping before lunch on your own at the Dutch Valley Restaurant, overlooking the growing fields and green pastures of productive farms. This afternoon, tour the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum, this beautifully restored 1873 Pennsylvania Railroad Station houses a WWII Museum, railroad, gift shop, and more. We then depart for home with all the great memories of the Red, White & Blue Ohio Tour.
